Founded in 1927, Piper Airplane is a Vero Beach, Florida-based producer of typical aviation aircraft. It is considered to be one of general aviation construction’s “Big 3.” From its founding through the end of 2009, Piper has produced over one hundred forty thousand airplane, of which ninety thousand are still in active flying service. The business’s undoubtedly greatest understood as the producer of the J-3 Cub. To begin with intended for flight instruction, the Cub became one of the finest known and most prominent light plane ever before built. William Piper desired an economical airplane that would promote an hobby in aviation. As a result, it’s frequently been compared to the Design T. The L-4 edition was used extensively by the U.S. military throughout World War II and Korea. Today, recreational aviators and bush pilots go on to require modernized and up-graded versions of the Cub.
Beyond the J3, today’s Piper line up features the Warrior. The Piper Warrior is a single-engine, piston driven plane considered a “low-wing” plane that makes a excellent aircraft for sale. The Warrior is part of the Piper PA-28 series of airplane. Look under the cowling on the Warrior to discover Lycoming 150 hp O-320-E3D engines. There are 4 seats in thew Warrior by having rear storage and cargo areas.
In 1984, Piper developed a single engine six seater. The Piper Malibu has a pressurized cabin and most models have the piston engine. Over the years, the engine has actually been upgraded and now has a turboprop. In January 2010, The Piper Sport Cruiser was produced as a joint endeavor with CZAW. The Piper Sport is a 2 seat light sporty plane. This aircraft is prominent by the first time flier.
The Piper SportCruiser is a two seat light-sport aircraft produced by Czech Sport Airplane (CZAW) and marketed by Piper between Jan. 2010 and Jan. 2011. Even known as the PiperSport, the business chose to joint endeavor with CZAW rather than construct their own entry-level aircraft.

What should a reliable cub piper airplane motor cost? I am asking about one suitable to run a air boat. Any information about how to mount one on a air boat would be welcome too, thanks.
The J3 cubs had several engines from 40HP to 65HP, which one did you think you wanted? A good portion of them used the Lycoming 0-145. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lycoming_O-145 There are many engines available which are “better” these days! Some of the “air boats” that I know about use the O-235-N2C (which was used in the Cessna 152′s) which is a 108 HP engine. Cost wise, check “trade a plane” under engines! http://tradeaplane.com you really don’t need to worry about the “certification” of any of them as you don’t need it for an airboat. You should be able to find one for 5 to 6 thousand, or a run out one for 2-3.
How do I set 65% power in a Piper PA23-150 Apache airplane? The Apache PA23-150 Airplane Flight Manual does not have a section describing various manifold pressures, RPM, and altitudes for 65% power. So how do I determine the settings?
I don’t have the 0-320 chart handy but there is one online for the 0-360 and they will be very close http://img156.imageshack.us/f/pwrrpmonlyexamplelr2.jpg/ I would be very surprised if the power setting chart isn’t in the POH! In many aircraft they are also on a chart within the aircraft (like the back of the sun visor).
I find that difficult to believe… Figure 25 appears to be a POH power setting chart… http://www.dogpile.com/clickserver/_iceUrlFlag=1?rawURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hsvwings.com%2FPA-23%2520MELGrnd.doc&0=&1=0&4=68.126.158.244&5=68.126.158.244&9=bc58812620054becaa460ca3c741cb01&10=1&11=info.dogpl&13=search&14=374914&15=main-title&17=11&18=1&19=0&20=6&21=5&22=CNLnNKkFbVU%3D&23=0&40=BR9Z9W88%2Fa65c5ViF2rWGw%3D%3D&_IceUrl=true
20″ and 2100 RPM should put you in the neighborhood.
Let me tell you what is a shame? It is a shame that people don’t realize what they are missing by not knowing Jesus. And how He blesses you with peace love and an understanding on what your purpose in life is.I feel sorry for people that miss out on this.I can explain it like this would you rather fly first class in an airplane or fly on the wing of a broken down piper cub. So here is the question which would you rather have? Please do not think i am preaching cause I do not dig that.I am telling you through experience since I have been on the wing of a piper club tooooooo long.I have been on both sides and I tell you the inside is a lot warmer than the outside looking in.
Oh good grief. It’s only a shame if you believe he is the son of god. He isn’t in my beliefs. I find it weird that you associate him with material things like flying first class.
Those of us that live with and in Jesus understand what you are saying. We know what its like to have an emptiness that nothing else but God can fill.Do not let what others say make you doubt yur faith.God is real and no matter where you are if you believe and have faith he is with you.
You are only going to impress the retarded, insular and poorly educated, and the highly ignorant with that ridiculous gibberish.. What an infantile and childlike post..
Well, let me take the “shame” off of you. I am happy that with Jesus you feel you are first class,If your life is truly better, more power to you. I,however, don’t feel sad and empty. I don’t feel my life is a “broken down piper cub”. I have peace,I have love, and I have given my life much purpose. I am sure this also applies to many an atheist. So you don’t have to think “it’s a shame” now that you have been informed that we are not “missing out”on anything. You can take the word of someone whose feelings you question,or you can decide,or let your pastor decide, how I feel. Personally, I would take the word of the person who you said was “missing out”. You know, straight from the horse’s mouth,as the saying goes.It wouldn’t seem logical to let anyone other than the people decide how they feel. Thanks for your concern though. Let me ease your mind with one other bit. Whether you are Christian,Muslim,Atheist,Wicca, etc. ,NEVER waste your time wondering if you will “go to hell”. I assure you,you will not
There is more than just one religion that allows a person to feel the peace you speak of. And to use your own comparison. All flights will bring you to the same destination, it is only the scenery along the way that will differ. I may not be flying first class on your jumbo jet but I am enjoying the ride on my broom just fine and not harming the environment in doing so. Blessed Be )O(
Dear Cindy : You have heard from the HERD of atheist and “others” who do not see JESUS as THE SAVIOR. They wish to discourage you and put you down for your sincere belief in GOD’s provision for a fallen world >>> JESUS CHRIST. IGNORE THEM These are the “nay -sayers” who truly are not happy with their “religion” or lack there of. Their main goal here is to put down Christians and raise up whatever else is opposed. Many of them are very ernest in their beliefs. Mainly because their relatives and culture compel them to conform to what they were born into. I AGREE, it truly is a shame that so many are DECEIVED into believing that any OLDE PIPER CUB will get them into heaven. As a pilot of small aircraft I have never flown the BIG IRON and most likely never will. HOWEVER IN JESUS CHRIST I FLY FIRST CLASS ON AN INTERSTELLAR STAR SHIP. JESUS BLESS YOU IGNORE THE “NAY SAYERS” dave
He’s GONNA DIE!!!! AGGHH THAT WAS GUUD!!!!
IT’s good
umm nice start but you give no hook in the beginning of the story its just description reading about a man trapped in a plane isn’t really attracting… i can’t help you fix it because i don’t know where you are going with the story
id read it but try understating more. its a more interesting read.
jst a rough guess, how much would an major overhaul cost on a high hours old airplane, say a piper cub or cess or a cessna 150.Is it worth the cost
The question you would really want to ask your self is this: After I acquire and overhaul, do I want to keep it long enough to make it worth the outlay? or, do I just want a cheap plane I can putter around the countryside in? Before you buy, check the resale values of particular models, because some models will be worth more in the future while some may stay the same. Most aircraft are an investment that increase in value rather than decline.
Overhaul prices can vary a great deal depending upon what you have done and where. Penn Yan and some of the other highly recommended shops charge more but they have great reputations. Overhauls should include new cylinders/pistons, opening the case and inspecting/repairing as needed, crank inspection/overhaul/replacement, and so on. Some shops will also replace the mags, harness, generator/alternator, starter, etc., a true “firewall forward” overhaul. Just ballpark, a good overhaul for a small engine like an O-200 or similar can run $12,000-15,000. But that’s only an estimate; each situation is different.
